Compression Molding
The commonly used molding method is to manufacture silicone sealing rings with complex shapes such as leather bowls and sealing rings. By using the formed yin and yang molds, the rubber material is placed in the mold and heated to form.
Injection molding
For more complex silicone sealing rings, such as tire tread, rubber hose, and metal wire surface coating, it needs to be manufactured by injection molding method. It is a method of continuously shaping a mixture of rubber with a certain plasticity by placing it into the hopper of an extruder and squeezing it through various mouth shapes (also known as templates) under the internal screw of the extruder. Before pressing out, the rubber material must be preheated to make it soft and easy to extrude, in order to obtain a smooth surface and accurately sized silicone sealing ring.
